本作は坂本龍一（ピアノ）、Jaques Morelenbaum（チェロ）、Everton Nelson（ヴァイオリン）によるトリオ編成で録音された、美しく静謐なアコースティック作品です。

坂本龍一の代表曲を新たな解釈で再構築。

また、2011年USリマスター盤以降、坂本龍一本人の意向によりアルバム最後の楽曲は"Self Portrait"へ変更されており、本作もその内容を踏襲しています。

English Description

30th Anniversary Edition of Ryuichi Sakamoto's landmark 1996 album, newly remastered in 2026 by Robin Schmidt (24-96 Mastering).

Performed by Sakamoto on piano with Jaques Morelenbaum (cello) and Everton Nelson (violin), this intimate recording features beautiful reinterpretations of classics including "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence", "Rain", "the Last Emperor" and "the Sheltering Sky".

Following Sakamoto's own wishes, the album concludes with "Self Portrait", as introduced on the 2011 remastered edition.
